The lighter side of the Left 4 Dead zompocalypse

How to REALLY Win at Left 4 Dead

A couple of weeks ago, Giant Enemy Blog posted a great little guide on how to achieve “ultimate victory” in Left 4 Dead’s Versus mode. Not only must you defeat your opponents in a match - you must also force them to ragequit. Included are some great tips on how to annoy people into leaving a match early as both the Survivors and the Infected. My favorite?

If you hear a Boomer, shoot through the walls.  You’ll probably hit him, and then he’ll likely accuse you of hacking.  Simply “lol” in response.

The same site also posted an article reminding us why the AI Director is as awesome as it is. Take a look at that, too.

In other Left 4 Dead news… Valve released an update for the Xbox 360 version of the game, with tweaks such as “fixed propane tanks (and other physics objects) causing players to fall through elevators”, “easier to pounce a Survivor who is meleeing”, and “reduced autoshotgun damage against Tanks”, among other things. Check out IGN.com for the full report. I know it’s kind of old by now, but it’s good to know if you hadn’t heard it already.

I have the same problem, I’m afraid.

Posts as lame as this makes me really re-think, why the hell am I subscribing this stuff.

Looks like the link is good but giantenemyblog.com is down for the moment.

    Now they are working ;-)

How about the entire enemy team ragequitting 60 seconds in? My and me friends faced a team that did that yesterday. One of them walked off the building at the beginning of No Mercy, and a jackass Rambo-er went downstairs. The two people remaining upstairs got Huntered, and I vomited on the person who was downstairs. Game over man, game over. Took about a minute, tops.

Hmm. I don’t think we have met before. Are you new?

It seems that this happens to me every night. I play with a couple of friends pretty frequently, and although we’re not super-serious clan gamers or whatever, we still own like this on a nightly basis. Our best score was 8 thousand something to 5 hundred something.

Well, when you played the game ad nauseum, there’s not much else to do.

Forcing teams to ragequit because you beat them hard isn’t fun, we rarely get to play the finale because of it.
