I’ve been on the five team before, mostly because I joined when it was 4 vs 1400 and they were five feet from the safehouse…

In one game I played, the other team only got 1 point. They were all horribly murdered metres from the safe room. I don’t think they were playing properly…
In another Versus match, the two remaining survivors (the others had quit before I joined) were holed up in the railway car safehouse in Blood Harvest. This made them quite hard to kill, as neither Smoker nor Hunter could get near to them without them shooting us. After several frustrating attempts, they ran out of medkits and took their eye off the ball long enough for us to triumph. I don’t know if they were deliberately turtling to annoy us, or if they didn’t understand the game. Still, as their average distance travelled was 2% (most of which was when I pulled one out of the safehouse as a Smoker), they didn’t score particularly highly…

@Zorgulon: Maybe they just knew they were doomed, and did what every person whos doomed in a zombie movie does, wait around, taking as many as they can out for any other survivors that might live in this big world, and die from attrition.
Still, pictures like this really do (or can) show how good team work can get.

I honestly saw a ZERO, the other team started killing each other in the safe room, then they opened the door and we killed the rest.

Xharn, I’ve had a three for the same reason (griefers on the other team), but I didn’t think that was as impressive as a picture showing how we did legitimately.

There are second-tier weapons in the saferoom, and Bill is floating slightly above the table. Definitely Photoshopped…

While that may work in zombie films, the aim of L4D’s Versus mode is to get further than the other team, and you don’t get any points for how many zombies you kill, just how far your team gets and how many survive. Therefore camping the safe room serves no purpose than to really piss off the zombies.

@Zorgulon: Oh, I wasn’t aware of the goal in versus mode. Blame a lack of correct graphical card, money, friends, and other assorted things.

Once had a two. This makes me kick myself for forgetting to screen capture it.
No big story to go with it, we just killed them when they walked out of the saferoom. Pretty simple stuff.
