Sorry to say, but it sounds like you’re either feminists or just hate CAD THAT much. If the former, then you’re trying to impose yourselves by attempting to sound superior/more mature (> for DrTarget). If it’s the latter (> for VenomKing):
Suffice to say, I haven’t really read CAD, so I’m not sure what all the hate is about. I did go into the first few strips, but I lost my attention when I realized that VGCats had actually fookin’ updated OMFG I no rite!!!
Either way, I’m not going to judge CAD until if and when I do read it. I have to say, though, this was great. I am SOOO going to use that one with taraph :D.
I have to say I agree, this is classic CAD format of sort of funny joke buried in terrible execution.
The third panel is always useless in CAD, but here the third panel is MORE than useless since it not only has nothing to do with the original joke and replaces it with violence and lack of empathy (she’s totally going to kill an old war vet who’s her friend and one of the only three other survivors she knows about just because he’s a bit of a pervert (which is also out of character (oh god so many brackets it’s like I’m doing maths(or programming)))), but makes no sense as hunters aren’t known for LEAVING BULLET HOLES IN PEOPLE.
And then the forth panel restates the second panel, which is at least unusual as the second panel is usually just pointless like the third.
The first two panels could have been combined into one vaguely funny panel, but as a four panel comic you can’t be amused by “hurr perversion” for that long.

You know, I constantly read CAD despite the fact I have never laughed at it.
I swear Buckley knows mind control.
I used to read it because even if it wasn’t funny, I could at least see the jokes in the video game ones and so could get some amusement. I only stopped after that goddamn three week storyfest he pulled with the marriage arch, especially since everything randomly worked out inexplicably.

On the other hand, did you know it’s possible to not like something on the internet and not have OMFG HATE about it? Like. ‘I don’t think CAD is very funny and this comic isn’t all that different from the others?’ And it’s even possible to think a joke about a woman isn’t funny because, rather than it being sexist, it isn’t funny?

The odd thing about CAD is that from all the strips I’ve read, I can see the humor and jokes he’s going for, but I just don’t get a humorous reaction out of them. *shrugs*

I completely agree. Like nearly all of CAD, this strip just seems a huge wasted opportunity. His artstyle isn’t bad, and you can see what joke he’s going for, but too often it’s ruined by needless walls of text or childish profanity.
Um…then go read some other comic and quit wasting your time with CAD? He’s not really going to miss you guys if you stop reading.
